When the three founding partners began Team Tube Ltd. in Vancouver's east downtown area in 1977, we specialized in mechanical steel tubing including microhoned ID tubing. The comprehensive size range and fast service was designed to meet the needs of the local hydraulic and general machine shops.

In addition to the original customer base, we now include the Original Equipment Manufacturers sector. The geographical base now includes all of Canada serviced from centers in Coquitlam, B.C., Prince George, B.C., Edmonton and Calgary, Alta., Milton, Ontario, Laval, Quebec. The product range has grown to include chrome-moly alloy tubing, chrome plated bars, ductile iron bars, driveline tubing, chromed ID air cylinder tubing, Zincaloy tubing and bar, and Nitrotube. In our Eastern branches only we stock C1045 Hot Finished Bar, C1018 Cold Finished Bar, C1045 Turned Ground and Polished, 4140 Annealed and 4140 HT and 4340 HT.

In 2005 the three partners of Team Tube Ltd sold the business to the HSBC Bank and a group of senior managers it became part of the ENCORE GROUP which includes Encore Metals. In February 2007 the Encore Group (Team Tube in Canada and Encore Metals) were acquired by the Reliance Steel And Aluminum Company.
